In each subdirectory of this directory, you'll find DEVise executables
for four different platforms (HP, Intel/Solaris, SPARC/Solaris, and
SPARC/SunOS). The HP and SPARC/SunOS versions are statically linked while
the Solaris versions are dynamically linked.

To run DEVise, first get the appropriate file for the platform on which
you're running.  Then untar the file with the command: tar xvfz <file>.

Once you have done this, you should be able to run devise by changing
to the run directory and typing 'devise' (without the quotes).


The distribution files contain PostScript documentation.  You may also
want to download the quick_intro.tar.gz file.  This contains an HTML
document giving a quick introduction to how to use DEVise.
